Pastor Gregory A. Sutton

Pastor Gregory A. Sutton is a native of Lafayette, Alabama, and a graduate of Lafayette High School and Opelika State Technical College. In April 2004, after answering the call of Jesus Christ, he was licensed and ordained by Rev. Melvin Owens and the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Lafayette, AL.

He pursued theological studies at Selma University’s Extension in Lanett, AL, and at the Community School of Theology. Throughout his ministry, Pastor Sutton has been actively involved in numerous Christian organizations, including the East Alabama Union District, East Alabama Congress of Christian Education, Northeast District, Alabama State Missionary Baptist Convention, National Baptist Convention, Southeast District, Auburn District, and Ebenezer District. He has served in various leadership roles, including Vice President of the Ebenezer District Congress of Christian Education and Instructor of the Ministers Division for the Southeast Congress of Christian Education.


In addition to his ministry, Pastor Sutton is a dedicated entrepreneur. He owns and operates Lafayette Barbershop and Car Wash and is Co-Owner of S & G Graphics. He and his wife, Cindy, have been married for 27 years and are blessed with two daughters, Gretil and Camille Sutton.

Pastor Sutton has faithfully served congregations across Alabama. He previously pastored The Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Five Points, Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church in Tuskegee Institute, and Beulah No. 1 Missionary Baptist Church in Notasulga. He currently serves as the Senior Pastor of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL.
